About the Artist…
The artist is boy, age 15: “When I started art class I did not like this person because I thought she was too different. She was not from my neighborhood. The art teacher told us that we had to draw one another. I didn’t want to at first but I went along with it and started to study her face like the artist taught us to. I found out that she was really nice and lots of fun. She said she liked the drawing. Art made me look deeper; I guess everyone’s alike but different at the same time. I have a new friend now.”
