Theatre Of Hearts/Youth First (TOHYF) is seeking professional artists who have 3-5 years of experience in their chosen discipline to teach (TOHYF) Artist-In-Residence workshops in:

  • Mural Making/Visual Arts
  • Dance
  • Theatre
  • Music
  • Creative Writing

Each TOHYF residency program is custom designed and standards-based. Residencies typically consist of 2-hour workshops conducted sequentially once or twice per week for 12-15 sessions, culminating in a Works-In-Progress presentation. Candidates who are bilingual, have previous teaching experience, and/or knowledge of the VAPA and Common Core State Standards are a plus.

All artists must provide their own transportation, a valid CA driver’s license, proof of a negative TB test and full vaccination against Covid-19. You will also be required to obtain and pass a background check at an agency designated to TOHYF.
